Laudrick Australian Shepherd Puppy TN

Health of Parents

Health screening and genetic testing are performed on our Australian Shepherd puppy parents to reduce the risk of inheritable illnesses or conditions. Secondly, we do not mate closely related dogs, thus keeping our lines strong.

We also take our dogs' diet seriously and feed a nutritious meat-based diet (TLC kibble with raw) with a very high-quality supplement (see Nu-Vet info) in order to create healthy, happy puppies both physically and mentally.

Australian Shepherd Puppy Enrichment and Socialization

Our Aussie pups are born and raised indoors under very watchful care.

Laudrick pups are raised with modified puppy culture using lots of interactive toys, lots of attention from "Aunties and Uncles", cats, chickens and goats, as well as regular interaction with myself and my family.

Our pups are exposed to desensitization sounds (white noise), music, TV, cars, tractors, mowers and loud noises.

Puppy Health and Wellness

Before your pup goes home, they are vaccinated for Distemper and Parvo at 5 weeks and 7 weeks. They are wormed at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks. At about 7 weeks of age, we will put them through personality tests to make sure they match well with their new families. *

Health Warranty

We offer an "unheard of" lifetime genetic health warranty to cover genetic or congenital conditions that may occur in Aussies. (click for details)

Registration Information

Each of our Australian Shepherd puppies comes with AKC registration under the Australian Shepherd breed category (covering all sizes; find out more about this classification [here]).The registration will be "limited" which means non-breeding. The pups are sold with a nonbreeding contract and should be spayed or neutered between 12-24 months old. If full breeding rights are desired, contact the breeder to discuss.

(* Personality Matching involves you completing an Owner Questionnaire so we can ascertain what temperament puppy would suit you best. When the pups are close to 7 weeks old we put them each through 8 personality tests that result in them getting a score which reveals their personality. This allows us to match owners with their best fit puppy and ensures that inexperienced owners or those with very small children don't end up with boisterous, high energy dogs. ***Laudrick Aussies has been a "closed" kennel since 2019. As we saw with the Pandemic, germs are quickly passed with sometimes catastrophic consequences. We were touched decades ago with Parvo, brought in with an unsuspecting visitor, but with heartbreaking results to our kennel and we never want to experience that again.

We do have a puppy visitation cabin planned for the future which will be at the front gate of our farm and no where near our doggy areas. But until that is completed, we will (for the safety and health of our dogs) remain closed. We are also in the process of getting videos of our adult dogs at work and play so that our puppy parents-to-be can see the personalities of our Moms and Dads.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
